Beschreibung

The Gattinara Osso San GratoRiservais produced on the Antoniolofamily farm founded in 1948 by MarioAntoniolo in upper Piedmont, north of the province of Vercelli. Since the foundation, the guidelines of Marioand his daughter Rosannahave been lovefor wine and respectfor the land, which come together in the production of wines of great quality and depth. Even today, in the third generation, the territory of origin and the Nebbioloare the symbol of this family reality and of the respect for the Piedmontese cultural and winemaking tradition. Viticulture is simple and non-invasive to allow nature to carry out its work of evolving the grapes. OssoSan Gratois one of Antoniolo’s three famous crus, covering approximately 5 hectares, with a southern exposure and porphyry soil of volcanic origin.

The GattinaraOsso San GratoRiservais a still red wine that stands out for its harmonyof flavors and a hint of bitternessthat makes it a wine capable of competing with the great reds at a national level. Produced from pure Nebbiolo, from the vines that have accompanied Antoniolo since its foundation, it is called DOCGand its production is restricted to the municipality of Gattinara. In the cellar, traditional methods are preferred, from vinification in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts to maceration on the skins for 20 days and long aging, during which the wine has time and space to evolve and acquire its own organoleptic characteristics. The aging process begins in large oak barrels for 24-30 months, completing in the bottle for 12 months.
