Still red Chianti DOCG, 13% ABV, produced by Cantine Leonardo da Vinci, a historic Tuscan cooperative. Blend: 85% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot. 1.50L magnum, 2022 vintage. A Chianti that celebrates its connection to the Vinci area, paying homage to Leonardo’s genius. The palate is assertive, with tannins that are evident but not astringent and rather soft. The nose, beautifully intense and persistent, is characterized by fruity notes of cherry, followed by subtle spicy hints, particularly black pepper. Deep purple red. Pleasant, intense, and long-lasting, it has a good structure, both gustatory and olfactory, and is decidedly refined.
