Still red Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC Riserva, 15% ABV, produced by Masciarelli. 0.75 L bottle, 2020 vintage. A wine born from the passion of Gianni Masciarelli, a symbol of Abruzzo winemaking. Macerated roses and lavender intertwine with black cherries in alcohol, blackcurrant, sour cherry compote, mulberries and blackberries, laurel and juniper, balsamic and vanilla notes, hints of tobacco, cedarwood, fur, rhubarb, and licorice root. A dense purple coat. The palate is slightly more severe, surprising with a magnificent paso doble of vigor and freshness, fading slowly into spicy berries dusted with graphite.
