Still red IGT Toscana, 14% ABV, produced by Giodo, a winery founded in 2002 by Carlo Ferrini, a respected consulting winemaker at many Italian wineries. 100% Sangiovese, 0.75L bottle, 2020 vintage. A wine that expresses the elegance of Sangiovese di Montalcino, aged for 12 months in 500- and 2,500-liter wooden barrels. Elegant notes of roses and violets unfold seamlessly, along with hints of oriental spices, carob, chewy licorice, and Virginia tobacco. The tannic structure is flavorful and well-ripened, supported by a precise fresh/savory note.
