Bolgheri Superiore still red, 14% ABV, produced by Argentiera in Tuscany, 2022 vintage. A wine made on an estate with vineyards close to the coast and located at some of the highest elevations in the appellation. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc that best expresses the Bolgheri terroir. The 2022 harvest began on August 25th, about a week earlier than Argentiera’s historical average. A riot of warm notes of wild berries and mulberries, peony, cola, cured tobacco, and sweet spices. Bright ruby red. A sinuous palate and tapered tannins anticipate a long finish with smoky undertones.
